Error 264 has a simple meaning and a serious edge case. The meaning: your account joined an experience somewhere else, and Roblox only permits one at a time. The edge case: if that somewhere else is not you, someone has your password.
If it definitely was not you
Stop and change your password before doing anything else. An unexplained 264 is one of the clearest early signals of a compromised account, and acting within minutes rather than days is what determines whether it is recoverable.
Working out which case you are in
Step 1: Check your own devices first
The most common cause is completely mundane. A phone or tablet with Roblox suspended in the background holds an active session, and swiping the app away in the recents view often does not end it.
Force stop Roblox on every other device 2 minutes
On Android, go to Settings, Apps, Roblox, and choose Force stop. On iOS, swipe the app away and then leave the device locked for a minute. On console, close the application from the system menu rather than returning to the dashboard.
Consoles are worth a specific mention. Returning to the dashboard leaves Roblox running in the background on both Xbox and PlayStation, and that background instance keeps the session alive.
Step 2: Sign out of all sessions
If you are not sure which device is holding the session, end all of them at once.

This clears every active connection including any you cannot see. Progress is stored server-side, so nothing is lost.
Step 3: Treat it as a compromise if it was not you
Secure the account 10 minutes
Change the password to something not used anywhere else. Enable two-step verification. Then log out of all other sessions again, in that order — changing the password first means the intruder's session cannot simply continue.
