Why you should convert instead of guessing
Every shooter uses its own arbitrary sensitivity scale. Setting the same number in two games gives you two completely different aims, which is why switching titles so often feels like your mechanics evaporated overnight.
This converter works in true 360° distance: it calculates how far your hand travels for a full rotation in your source game, then finds the value in the target game that requires exactly the same travel. Your muscle memory carries over intact.
Finding a sensitivity that suits you
If you are starting from nothing rather than converting, aim for somewhere around 30–40 cm/360 and adjust from there. The practical test is simple: can you turn 180° comfortably without lifting the mouse, and can you hold your crosshair on a stationary head at range without micro-corrections? If turning requires three lifts, go higher. If your crosshair jitters on small targets, go lower.
The mistake almost everyone makes
Changing sensitivity every time you have a bad session. Aim is trained distance, and every change resets the training. Pick a value in a sane range, then leave it alone for a month regardless of how you play. Nearly everyone who does this ends up better than the person who has changed settings forty times chasing a feeling.
One genuine exception: if you switch mousepads or move to a much smaller desk, your effective range changes and a real adjustment is warranted. Convert deliberately rather than dragging the slider.
A note on the yaw values
Conversions rely on each game’s yaw constant — the degrees of rotation per mouse count at sensitivity 1. Source-engine titles use 0.022, which is why CS2 and Apex share a scale. Games occasionally adjust these in patches; if a converted value feels clearly off, verify with an in-game 360 test before assuming your aim is the problem.
Common questions
What does cm/360 mean?+
It is how many centimetres you have to physically move your mouse to turn a full circle in game. It is the only sensitivity measurement that is comparable across every game, every DPI setting and every mouse, which is why converters use it as the common unit.
What sensitivity do professional players use?+
The large majority sit between 25 and 45 cm/360, and the middle of that range is by far the most crowded. Tactical shooter players cluster lower, around 30–45 cm. Fast-movement games like Apex and Overwatch trend a bit higher. Almost nobody at the top plays above 20 cm/360 or below 60.
Should I match my sensitivity across games?+
If you play several shooters seriously, yes. Your aim is muscle memory built on distance, not on a number in a settings menu, and having a different cm/360 per game means rebuilding it every time you switch. Match the distance and the transition becomes almost invisible.
Does changing DPI change my aim if I match cm/360?+
Barely. As long as the cm/360 is identical, the aim feels the same. Very low DPI (under 400) can introduce visible cursor stepping on high-resolution monitors, and very high DPI (over 3200) can add sensor smoothing on some mice. Anywhere from 400 to 1600 is fine.
Why does the converted number look strange?+
Games use wildly different scales. VALORANT sensitivity 0.4 and CS2 sensitivity 1.27 describe the same physical movement — the numbers are not meant to be comparable. Trust the cm/360 figure, not the raw value.
